How does my fourteen-year-old girl spend her birthday?

Her mother sews her a birthday dress. Sorry it's blurry. She moves a lot. This is D's first t-shirt dress; she's wanted one for a long time. I cut the top off an old dress that no longer fit and attached a white t-shirt. Then, I added a blue and white checked fabric for a belt and to make the v-neck more D's style. (She doesn't like v-necks.) She says she likes her new dress.
She gets a rose from her father.
She asks for apple pie, instead of a birthday cake. She gets a delicious Dutch Apple Pie.
She buys with her birthday money a chain mail haubergeon and coif and Saxon and WWII soldiers to paint.
She plays baseball with her friends.
She gets a rainbow.

She eats a favorite dish - her mother's Shepherd's Pie.
She watches the season premiere of a favorite show with her parents.
In short, it is a wonderful day.
