Monday was Guy Fawkes Night and D was really hoping to burn an effigy of Guy but H very firmly said no. We decided to have some traditional (or so I have read) Parkin instead.

The Parkin was delicious - a bit like Gingerbread cake - and I have been begged not to limit it to one day a year. I think it's a perfect cake for Fall.
